BARGAIN IS ON NETGALLEY AND EDELWEISS!!!!

HOLY SHIT okay so as of today, To Bargain With Mortals has now escaped the inner circle (no pun intended with the subscriber tier name). Up until now, Bargain has been safely nestled with R.A. and her circle, myself, and the editors and designers at Bindery.

Today, it has officially started going out to readers as a digital ARC on Netgalley and Edelweiss.

A couple definitions for those not chronically online in bookish spaces:
- ARC: Advanced Reader Copy - This is an early copy of a book sent out to press, reviewers, and/or content creators for early reviews and promotion. These can be either physical paperbacks (a hardcover ARC is exceedingly rare), digital e-books (called e-ARCs or digital ARCs), or even audio ARCs for early release copies of audiobooks.
- Netgalley: A website for reviewers and creators to request e-ARCs of upcoming books. Anyone can create an account, fill out a little bio about who you are and where you review books, and then you can request e-ARCs hosted on the site to be delivered directly to your e-reader/phone/computer.
- Edelweiss: In this context, also used for providing e-ARCs, but this site is specifically for booksellers, librarians, etc.

As of today Bargain is now available for request on Netgalley and automatic download on Edelweiss! Request it on Netgalley here. Edelweiss users I'd love to link it but I'm not gonna lie, I do not know how to use that website. I don't even think I have access as a lowly little non-bookseller peasant, but if you search for it, it's there!

It's crazy that it's just...out there now. Not in its final form, but very close. As I've mentioned in previous updates, ARCs typically go out after a first pass of copy edits, but the book will still go through potentially another round of copy edits and definitely proofreading and pass pages before it goes to print for the final release. Which is to say, to anyone who may be reading the ARC, don't panic if you find typos! They're very typical in ARCs. Even after the three rounds of editing we've done so far there will still be mistakes that have slipped through and will be caught before it goes to print.
One of the craziest problems I've seen in an ARC was in The Fragile Threads of Power by V.E. Schwab and it wasn't even just a typo, it was a whole named thing that had to be changed for continuity reasons before the book went to print. So if it happens to Schwab, it happens to everyone!

So that's all for now. This is a big step in the process! The book is actually OUT THERE even if it's just to a small segment of readers! AHHHHH!!!!

p.s. I have ZERO SAY in approvals/denials for ARC requests on Netgalley! That is entirely handled by Bindery so that I can keep my peace.

p.p.s. Look at this fancy little graphic I did for the post image! Now that we have a cover CJ (our marketing manager) put together a Brand Kit so I have all the little bits and bobs to throw graphics together quickly. Everyone say thank you CJ <3
